Marvin Lemus is a Mexican & Guatemalan-American award-winning screenwriter, director, and showrunner with a passion for telling unapologetic stories. He is known as the co-creator, co-showrunner and director of GENTEFIED, a bilingual digital series executive produced by America Ferrera and MACRO. GENTEFIED premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and aired its half-hour adaptation for NETFLIX in the Spring of 2020. Season 1 was one of 60 nominees selected for the 2020 Peabody Awards. The 2nd season premiered Fall 2021. GENTEFIED has been recognized as one of the most compelling and empowering stories released in broadcast and/or streaming in the year 2020 and landed him on Variety's 2021 Comedy Impact report. Up next, Marvin is set to direct his debut feature film for Disney+; an adaptation of the children's book "Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" starring Eva Longoria and George Lopez.
